Baby blues (rather pinks)

Nearly an year after I wrote the last (and my first) blog, we were blessed with a baby girl... and she is a doll!! And I am afraid that going forward quite a few of my blogs are going to be dedicated to her and mommydom (if I ever get to writing them). Or, I may just end up here again at the birth of our second child (that is still open to discussion, debate, arguments, fights - you see how it progresses).

So on mommyhood - there is nothing like it! And for all those who are in the line to be one (namely, my dear friend S) - you have no idea... no idea what you have got into! Get ready to be home bound for months, for losing your independence, having second thoughts about your career, washing poop, facing incessant crying (for reasons not known), seeing yourself as God intended you to be (what with no visits to the parlor for months at a go), for wanting to cover all the mirrors in your home, for not wanting to see a weighing scale ever in your life... I could go on, you know..

Also, get ready to have the love affair of your life, get ready to fall head over heels in love, for wanting to never let go, for having a new found respect for your body, for getting a perspective on life (your career, family et al), for marveling at creating life (sorry God!),for rediscovering your husband,  for bringing smiles to someone just by being in the same room, for finally caring about where the world is going (and being verrry alarmed), to pray to and thank God a million times ... I could, again, go on...

So, all in all, get ready for the time of your life!
